Autauga County to Cut Ribbon at Liberty Fields, Pine Level Park March 30

Pine Level Park is about to host its first pitch. The Autauga County Commission will hold an official ribbon cutting for Liberty Fields at 160 County Road 104 in Prattville this Monday, March 30, at 5:00 p.m., opening new athletic fields that the Pine Level area has needed for years: the community has had just one ball field serving around 19 teams in what has become the fastest-growing area of Autauga County.

The county's own calendar lists the event simply as "5:00 PM Ribbon Cutting Liberty Fields at Pine Level" for Monday, March 30, but the celebration planned around that moment runs considerably deeper. County communications posts announce the planting of a Liberty Tree at the ceremony, followed immediately by the kick-off of the first game ever played on the new fields.

"This exciting event honors not only a beautiful new space for families and youth athletics, but also the spirit of community, growth, and opportunity in Autauga County," the Autauga County Commission stated in its public announcement of the event.

The Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Pine Level have partnered with the Autauga County Commission on the Park's development, and the ribbon cutting is listed on both the county calendar and the Prattville Area Chamber calendar. The event is open to all: the commission's announcement makes clear that "everyone is invited" to attend.

Pine Level sits in eastern Autauga County, north of Prattville, and its growth has outpaced its recreational infrastructure for years. Pine Level Mayor Zachary Bigley, speaking at an earlier groundbreaking for the lighted ballfields at the park, said, "The new Pine Level Park gives hope to our community and to our future."
