Bodycam footage released by authorities captures the moment a birthday celebration at the LongHorn Steakhouse on Cobbs Ford Road in Prattville descended into a brawl that left two people stabbed and a suspect in the Elmore County Jail.

Prattville Police Department received a call reporting a stabbing at the restaurant around 10 p.m. on a Friday in January. According to Prattville Police Chief Mark Thompson, a group had gathered at the steakhouse for a birthday party when a fight broke out among customers. The violence escalated quickly: video of the incident shows chairs being thrown before the stabbing occurred.

Both victims sustained stab wounds and were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Charles Pullom was taken into custody at the scene and charged with first-degree assault. He was transported to the Elmore County Jail, where he was booked on a $100,000 bond. His mugshot was released by the jail. The motive for the attack has not been established, and multiple accounts of the incident are circulating.

The violence also left its mark on the restaurant itself. LongHorn sustained damage to an area in the back part of the building related to the brawl, and possible charges are being pursued related to that damage as well as payment of a bill connected to the incident.

The first-degree assault charge against Pullom reflects the severity Alabama law assigns to intentional serious injury. Whether additional charges related to the property damage will be filed remains an open question as the Prattville Police Department's investigation continues.
