Centerpoint Church Easter Fest Attracts Over 1,000 Prattville Residents
More than 1,000 Prattville families packed CenterPoint Church's Easter Fest, where local businesses served free food and Lead Pastor John Schmidt credited relationships as the real draw.

More than 1,000 people turned out Sunday to CenterPoint Church's Prattville Campus for the church's annual Easter Fest, an afternoon event that pulled families from across the county with a mix of livestock, inflatables, climbing walls, and local food vendors distributing complimentary treats.
The event spread activity across every age group on the campus grounds. Kids of all ages worked through egg hunts stocked with candy, while a petting zoo and pony rides kept younger attendees occupied. Rock-climbing, multiple inflatables set up for sliding and shooting hoops, and face painting stations extended the crowd throughout the space. Local businesses positioned themselves alongside the church to hand out free snow cones and ice cream to every attendee who came by.
Lead Pastor John Schmidt said the turnout of more than 1,000 people reflects exactly what the Easter Fest is built to produce. "For us, it's important to get a lot of people together all at one time, so that you make new friends," Schmidt said. "One of the things we find out over and over again, is that the more that people spend time online, the less time they're actually around and engaging with friends, and church is all about relationships. In fact, that's one of our taglines here, 'It's all about relationships.' Relationships start by meeting people, and this is a great chance for people to meet new friends, maybe even reconnect with old ones, and be a part of the community. Especially at Easter time, a lot of people are saying 'Hey, I'd be willing to check out visiting a church somewhere,' so we love to give them the opportunity to come have some fun and get to know us a little bit."

Centerpoint Fellowship Church has additional Easter-season services scheduled at its Prattville Campus through the end of April. A Good Friday Service is set for April 18 at 6 p.m., followed by a Saturday Easter Service on April 19 at 6 p.m. Easter Sunday, April 20, opens with a Sunrise Service at 6 a.m. at the Homeplace Clocktower, then three morning worship services at 8, 9:30, and 11 a.m. The church can be reached at (334) 356-3076.
