Tracey E. Huffman, 36, of Prattville was killed Tuesday evening when the 2021 Ram pickup she was driving collided with a 2006 Peterbilt tractor-trailer on Woodley Road near Snowdoun Chambers Road, approximately one mile south of Montgomery, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

The crash occurred at approximately 7:26 p.m. on March 10. Huffman was pronounced dead at the scene. The tractor-trailer was driven by Jacob A. Asberry, 28, of Selma. No information on Asberry's condition has been released.

Authorities confirmed to WSFA 12 News that the crash happened after a truck tried crossing a bridge in the area at the same time as a house trailer that was being hauled, though the precise sequence of events and which vehicle was involved in which action remains unclear pending further investigation.

A WSFA crew observed a large emergency responder presence still at the scene shortly before 9 p.m. The Rolling Hills and Snowdoun volunteer fire departments both responded to provide assistance alongside ALEA troopers.

Troopers with ALEA's Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate. The cause of the crash has not been officially determined, and no charges or citations have been announced.

Anyone with information relevant to the investigation can contact ALEA's Highway Patrol Division directly.
