Baker City firefighters quickly douse food truck blaze, no injuries reported

Baker City firefighters were dispatched at about 10:30 a.m. to a food truck fire in the 2500 block of Baker City, and they got it under control fast enough to keep the damage minor. Baker City Fire and Rescue Station 24 said seven firefighters were needed to make sure the fire was out.

No injuries were reported, and the truck was left with only minimal damage. That quick stop mattered in a commercial part of town where a small blaze involving a mobile kitchen could have turned into a much bigger loss if it had spread beyond the vehicle.
