Three arrests and citations logged by Baker City Police and Oregon State Police captured a range of offenses across Baker County during a two-day span, from a trespass arrest on a residential street to a late-night DUII stop on the interstate.

Baker City Police jailed Neal Sloan Lewis, 43, of Baker City, at 10:39 a.m. March 8 following a second-degree criminal trespassing incident in the 2300 block of Fifth Street. Lewis was taken into custody rather than cited and released, making his arrest the only one of the three logged incidents to result in jail time through Baker City Police.

Oregon State Police accounted for the remaining two entries. At 7:11 p.m. March 7, troopers stopped Allen C. Warren, 51, of Baker City, on Highway 30 at Milepost 48 and jailed him on a driving while suspended charge. Less than 24 hours later, at 11:35 p.m. March 8, OSP troopers cited James Olson, 63, of Tacoma, Washington, for driving under the influence of an intoxicant on Interstate 84 eastbound at Milepost 338. Olson was cited and released at the scene.

The March 7-8 entries follow a similarly active stretch logged earlier in the week. Baker City Police cited and released Corey Alan Stevens, 36, of Baker City, for second-degree criminal trespassing at 9:59 p.m. March 5 in the 2900 block of Elm Street, and cited and released Jerad Paul Patton, 40, of Baker City, for second-degree disorderly conduct at 12:25 p.m. March 5 at the intersection of Broadway and Second streets. Dyllan Jacoby Simonis, 34, of Baker City, was jailed on a driving while suspended charge at 10:37 a.m. March 4 at Cherry and Balm streets.

Baker City Police also responded to two accidents on March 5: a property damage crash at 11:30 a.m. in the 3300 block of Pocahontas Road, and a noninjury accident at 7:27 a.m. at Third Street and Failing Avenue.

The public safety log entries are one-line summaries and do not include incident narratives, booking numbers, bond amounts, or court dates beyond the initial disposition of jailed or cited and released.
