Baker Powder Valley Swimming Finishes Eighth at Ravens Classic
Baker Powder Valley boys and girls swim teams placed eighth at the Ravens Classic in Redmond on Saturday, Dec. 13, reflecting steady competitive presence for the Bulldogs. Individual top finishes and strong junior varsity showings highlight growing depth for Baker County swimmers and offer momentum for the remainder of the season.

Baker Powder Valley's boys and girls squads combined for an eighth place finish at the Ravens Classic meet in Redmond on Saturday, Dec. 13. The Bulldogs also placed eighth in the combined team standings, a result that underscores the program's ability to score points across multiple events while identifying areas for growth.
Senior and underclass swimmers posted several top eight finishes. On the girls side Kyra Cheren finished sixth in the 200 freestyle in 2:46.36 and also placed sixth in the 100 backstroke in 1:29.67. In the girls 50 freestyle Myley Rabourne was fifth in 41.10, while Ilah Eisiminger took seventh in 46.05 and Ielani Griffith was eighth in 51.14. Cadell Mills finished 12th in the girls 100 freestyle in 1:17.26, and Cadel Mills was 14th in the girls 100 breaststroke in 1:46.16. Abby Cunningham recorded 17th in the girls 100 freestyle in 1:32.08 and 15th in the girls 100 breaststroke in 1:47.95.

Boys competitors added contributing swims throughout the program. Jaxson Everson took sixth in the boys 200 freestyle in 2:34.02 and 11th in the boys 100 freestyle in 1:09.94. Jarrin Bott was seventh in the boys 200 freestyle in 2:37.56 and 13th in the boys 100 butterfly in 1:37.70. Caedmon Myers placed 23rd in the boys 50 freestyle in 34.64 and 20th in the boys 100 freestyle in 1:18.55. Evan Carroll recorded 27th in the boys 100 freestyle in 1:40.91 and 18th in the boys 100 backstroke in 1:50.48.
Junior varsity swims highlighted bench strength and development. In JV girls competition Myley Rabourne won the 100 freestyle in 1:39.81, with Ilah Eisiminger second in 1:51.62 and Ielani Griffith third in 1:57.18. JV boys competitor Jarren Cikanek posted a 13th place time of 48.11 in the freestyle.
For Baker County residents these results signal a mix of competitive performance and youth development. The Bulldogs gathered scoring swims across strokes and distances, an indicator that program investments in coaching and participation are producing measurable outcomes. Local supporters and school officials can view the Ravens Classic performance as a benchmark for training priorities and resource allocation as the season progresses.
