Baker School District, Researcher Survey Community on Potential Youth Center
Baker School District 5J and MFA researcher Chanda Christensen want your input in 2-4 minutes on a potential Baker County youth center.

Baker School District 5J and graduate-student researcher Chanda Christensen launched four anonymous surveys Thursday to gauge community interest in a potential new youth center for Baker County, with each survey targeting a distinct segment of the population and estimated to take no more than four minutes to complete.
The surveys cover four demographics: youth ages 12-18, parents and guardians, teachers and school staff, and community partners. BSD5J framed the effort around identifying unmet needs: "This anonymous survey will help gather input about what young people in Baker County want and need in a potential future youth center."
Christensen is conducting the research as part of her Master of Fine Arts thesis, with Baker School District 5J supporting the outreach. Officials put the time commitment at roughly 2 to 4 minutes per survey, a low bar designed to encourage broad participation across the county.
No deadline for completing the surveys was announced, and no specific location or budget for a potential youth center has been disclosed. The surveys are anonymous, and no demographic targets or sample-size goals were specified in materials released by the district.
Questions about the surveys can be directed to Christensen at chanda.christensen@gmail.com. Survey links for each of the four demographic groups are available through Baker School District 5J.
