Powder Valley senior Kellee Dixon earned a first-team spot on the Class 1A all-state girls basketball roster, and Pine Eagle senior Jason Ludin was named to the boys Class 1A third team, the Oregon School Activities Association announced Monday.

Dixon helped carry the Badgers to the second round of the state playoffs before Powder Valley fell to North Clackamas Christian, the eventual state champion. Her selection to the first team places her among the five players at that tier, as OSAA structures each all-state level — first, second, third and honorable mention — with five players apiece, chosen in collaboration with the Oregon Athletic Directors Association and the Oregon Athletic Coaches Association.

Ludin's honor caps a senior season in which the Pine Eagle guard had already established himself as one of the top scorers in the state. In the Class 1A district tournament at Baker High School in February 2025, Ludin made two free throws with 1.8 seconds remaining to push the Spartans to a 29-18 halftime lead over Powder Valley, part of a dominant performance that ended with Pine Eagle's 53-42 quarterfinal upset of the Badgers — a win that avenged two regular-season losses. That district run was historically significant for the program: Pine Eagle had not advanced to the state playoffs in more than a dozen years, with the Spartans' last Class 1A state tournament appearance dating to 1992.

Ludin was one of five players named to the boys Class 1A third team statewide.

Two other Baker County-area athletes drew recognition in the same OSAA cycle. Jake Holden, a sophomore at Cascade Christian in Medford who played for Baker High School last season, was named to the Class 3A boys second team. Baker/Powder Valley freshman Hailey Duke earned honorable mention all-state in girls wrestling after finishing fourth at the Class 4A/3A/2A/1A state tournament.

Honors for Class 4A, 5A and 6A players of the year and coaches of the year were not yet finalized as of Monday. OSAA had briefly listed Baker's Eli Long as a co-player of the year and Baker girls coach Jason Ramos as co-coach of the year for Class 4A on its website, but removed those entries Tuesday morning before ballots were due. Those announcements will come at a later date.
