Singer-Songwriter Lucas Treptow Brings Solo Tour to Baker City March 27
Prairie City's Lucas Treptow brings his one-man "folky Americana" show to Barley Brown's on March 27, aiming to play every county in Oregon this year.

Lucas Treptow has a simple way of describing his 2026: "My goal for this year is to play every county in Oregon. When I'm not playing music, I'm driving."
Baker County is next on the list. The Prairie City singer-songwriter will perform at Barley Brown's Taphouse, 2200 Main St. in Baker City, on March 27. Music starts at 6 p.m., and the venue is for ages 21 and older.
Treptow is a one-man band, singing while working a kick drum, tambourine, guitar and harmonica simultaneously. He describes the sound as "folky Americana," a style he has been developing full-time since March 2025, when he committed to music as a career. Oregon, he said, was the "rebirth of a music career."
Originally from Wisconsin, Treptow moved to Prairie City several years ago from Montana. The reception he found in eastern Oregon made an impression. "It's been amazing," he said. "The whole community has been incredible."

His regional profile grew steadily through 2025. He played a summer show for the Riverside Park concert series in La Grande, then closed out Labor Day weekend at Hot Lake Springs Resort for an event called "Strings at the Springs." He also ran an Oregon Trail tour in 2025 before setting off this March on what he describes as a year of playing music across the country.
In Grant County, Treptow plays with the James Gang Band alongside his solo dates, and he started open mic nights at Bare Bones Bar in John Day. The next open mic is March 21, featuring an open jam from 8 to 10:30 p.m. followed by karaoke until midnight.
The Baker City show is one of several regional dates on his schedule. After Barley Brown's, he heads to the Hideout Saloon in La Grande on May 30, Wallowa Lake Lodge in Joseph on June 6, '62 Days in Canyon City on June 13, and Churchill School in Baker City on June 19.
