Druid Health Clinic is moving into Total Health Care’s West Baltimore site at 1501 W. Saratoga Street, a consolidation city leaders said will put more care under one roof and make it easier for patients to stay connected to services.

Mayor Brandon Scott said the goal is to give residents one place to find a broad range of health resources instead of sending them to multiple sites for basic care and support. The new setup is expected to bring together primary care doctors, pediatricians, dentists, OB-GYN services, walk-in urgent care, emotional and social health resources, a pharmacy, and Health Department services focused on prevention, health education and care coordination.

For patients, the biggest change is practical: more services at one address in a familiar part of West Baltimore, near Franklin Elementary School. Total Health Care has operated since 1968 and says it serves nearly 30,000 adults and children each year regardless of ability to pay. Its Saratoga Health Center already offers adult primary care and pharmacy services on weekdays, giving the clinic a built-in home for the move.

The shift also matters for continuity of care. Baltimore City Health Department family planning and reproductive health services already include contraception, pregnancy-related care and teen services, while the city’s Healthy Teens and Young Adults clinic serves people ages 10 to 24 with reproductive health, health education and mental health screening and referral. City clinics also provide sexual health, HIV/AIDS, maternal and infant health, immunizations, asthma care, senior care, cancer screening and lead poisoning prevention.

That range helps explain why the city is treating the relocation as more than a change of address. Moving services into Total Health Care could reduce the need for patients to piece together appointments across different buildings, a barrier that often hits hardest in neighborhoods where transportation, cost and scheduling can delay care.

The move also builds on an earlier transfer of services in the same corridor. In October 2025, the Health Department said some family planning and sexual health services at the Druid Health Center would move to Total Health Care at 1501 W. Saratoga Street because of ongoing facility issues, with that change scheduled to begin Oct. 14, 2025. The Saratoga Health Center serves Boyd Booth, Franklin Square, Penrose/Fayette, Shipley Hill and Union Square, putting the relocated clinic within reach of several West Baltimore neighborhoods that already rely on the site.
