Third Eye Comics opens ninth store in Glen Burnie Saturday

Third Eye Comics & Hobbies will open its ninth store Saturday at 7992 Crain Highway S. in Glen Burnie, bringing a full-size comics-and-games shop to Anne Arundel County with retro video games, plushies and geeky home decor on the shelves.

The company’s grand opening is set for Saturday, July 25, 2026, and the Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce has scheduled a ribbon-cutting from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Third Eye lists the Glen Burnie store’s hours as 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

General manager Cass Hartman is tied to the new space, which Third Eye has described as a major addition to its lineup. The company has also said on its own site and Facebook page that Glen Burnie is its ninth location, joining existing stores in Annapolis and other markets.

The scale of the Glen Burnie site sets it apart from the shrinking storefronts many retailers are leaving behind. The space is in a former Walmart, a sign that Third Eye is not chasing a small counter-service model but a destination format built for browsing, collecting and repeat visits from fans who want more than a quick purchase.
