SciWay states, “Candidates may file for South Carolina elected offices from March 16 through March 30, 2026. Primaries will be held June 9, 2026, with run-offs scheduled for June 23, 2026,” and notes that “Elections for Bamberg County will be held November 3, 2026.”

A locally circulated Facebook post summarizes contested offices and financial figures for Bamberg County, listing three county council seats up this year and naming incumbents: “District 2 held by Democrat Sharon Hammond, District 3 held by Larry Haynes, and District 6 held by Evert Comer, Jr.” The same post quotes salary and fee figures attributed to the S.C. Election Commission, including “the annual salary for a Bamberg County Council member is $9,789 (this does not include up to $310 monthly for expenses or benefits). The filing fee for any of the 4-year term Council seats will be $391.56.”

The Facebook post also lists other local offices and figures: “HOUSE 90: Currently held by Democrat Justin Bamberg. Annual salary is officially $10,400 (but with per diem and monthly in-district expenses is closer to $30,000). The S.C. House 90 filing fee for the 2-year term is $208.” For countywide posts it names incumbents and figures: “BAMBERG COUNTY TREASURER: Currently held by Democrat Alice Johnson. Annual salary is $93,627. Filing fee for the 4-year term is $3,745.08.” and “BAMBERG COUNTY AUDITOR: Currently held by Democrat Rosa R. Verner. Annual salary is $63,945. Filing fee for the 4-year term is $2,557.80.”
