Keith Secola, Gary Farmer Bring Ancestral Fire Music Tour to Bemidji
Gary Farmer of "Reservation Dogs" and Anishinaabe musician Keith Secola bring the Ancestral Fire Music Tour to Rail River Folk School on Friday.

Anishinaabe musician Keith Secola and Cayuga actor and musician Gary Farmer are bringing the Ancestral Fire Music Tour to Bemidji's Rail River Folk School this Friday, March 13, with a 6 p.m. show at 303 Railroad St. SW. Admission is a $20 suggested donation.
Farmer is best known to many audiences for his recent work on the FX series "Reservation Dogs," while Secola carries the distinction of being a Native American Music Award winner. The two headline a lineup that also includes Rangers, described in a release as a "new all-star band," and The Wind Jammers.
"Featuring Native American Music Award winner Keith Secola and lauded musician and actor Gary Farmer (best known for his recent work in the television show, 'Reservation Dogs'), the shows will include music from the new all-star band Rangers and The Wind Jammers," a release said. "Known for their work in music and activism, they will be bringing an all-star show to Minnesota, bringing contemporary Native music and ancestral vibes."

The Bemidji stop is part of a short northern Minnesota mini-tour running March 12 through 15. Beyond Bemidji, Secola and Farmer are also making stops in Virginia, Grand Rapids, and Minneapolis during the same stretch, though specific venues and times for those cities have not been announced publicly.
Rail River Folk School, tucked along Railroad Street in downtown Bemidji, has become a consistent home for acoustic and folk-rooted performances in the region, making it a natural fit for a tour built around Indigenous musical traditions and what the release describes as "ancestral vibes.
