Red Lake Woman Dies After Vehicle Rolls Into Treeline on Highway 89

Floris Ruby Rose Strong, 35, of Red Lake was killed Sunday when her 2012 Dodge Caravan crossed State Highway 89 at the Great Divide Road NW intersection, west of Puposky, and rolled into the treeline. Strong was killed after her 2012 Dodge Caravan crossed Highway 89 and rolled into trees at the intersection of Great Divide Road NW, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The Dodge Caravan was traveling westbound on Great Divide Road NW when it went across Highway 89 and rolled into the trees, the State Patrol reported. The crash site falls in Beltrami County, roughly 20 miles north of Bemidji. The crash was recorded at 12:06 p.m. Sunday, March 22, with road conditions dry at the time.
Strong was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Minnesota State Patrol reported she was not wearing a seat belt. Whether alcohol was a factor in the crash is pending investigation, the State Patrol said.
The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office assisted the Minnesota State Patrol at the intersection of Highway 89 NW and Great Divide Road NW. No other vehicles were reported to be involved in the crash.
