Shevlin Garden Club Hosts Free Spring Workshop in Bagley on March 21
The Shevlin Garden Club brings three local gardening experts to Bagley's American Legion on March 21 for a free afternoon of workshops, seed swapping, and door prizes.

The Shevlin Garden Club's annual Spring Wake-Up Garden Workshop comes to the Bagley American Legion, 112 Main Ave. N., this Saturday, March 21, running from 1 to 4 p.m. and free to anyone who wants to attend.
Three speakers anchor the afternoon's programming. Joyce Rairdon, a University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardener in Beltrami County, will present on no-till gardening. Alecia Reed, owner of the US 2 Greenhouse in Shevlin, located on the east side of Highway 2 as you enter town, brings her expertise in plants and container arrangements. Sheila Capistran, a lifelong gardener who has worked as a consultant with area greenhouses, will walk attendees through preparing horticulture entries for the fair.
Beyond the presentations, the workshop will host a seed swap table stocked with extra and collected seeds brought in by club members and attendees. Door prizes will be provided by local businesses, greenhouses, and Shevlin Garden Club members. Refreshments will be served during a break, and coloring pages will be on hand for children.
There is no charge to attend, and the event is open to the public.
