Surveillance cameras at an Ocean View home captured two people and a maroon pickup truck at the property on Aug. 19, 2025, two days before a neighbor discovered the residence had been broken into and more than $5,000 in tools and appliances had vanished.

Hawaiʻi Island police renewed their public appeal seeking help identifying the two persons of interest and the truck, which is of unknown make, model, and license plate. The burglary was reported on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025, at a residence in the 92-8500 block of Pineapple Parkway. The owner was off-island at the time; a neighbor who checked on the property reported obvious signs of a break-in to police. After being contacted by officers, the owner returned and determined that tools, home appliances, and other miscellaneous items valued at $5,175 had been allegedly removed.

The surveillance footage, recorded at 11:55 a.m. on Aug. 19, shows two individuals near the maroon-colored pickup. Police describe both as local and in their 30s. One is a male with a light tan complexion, dark-colored hair, short facial hair, and a tattoo on his right arm. The second individual is heavier-set with a dark complexion, wearing a face covering and a long-sleeved shirt. The released images are low-resolution, and police have not identified the truck's make, model, or plate number.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Hawaiʻi Police Department's non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 or contact Detective Bradley Llanes directly at bradley.llanes@hawaiipolice.gov. For emergencies, call 911.
