Buena Vista County Conservation Hosts Annual Egg Hunt in the Park March 28
Free egg hunt at Buena Vista County Park on March 28 pairs live animals with candy-filled eggs; RSVP required by Thursday, March 26.

Buena Vista County Conservation is bringing live education animals and candy-filled eggs to the South Shelter area at Buena Vista County Conservation Park in Peterson on Saturday, March 28, with its annual Egg Hunt in the Park starting at 2 p.m.
The program opens with a short lesson about animals that lay eggs, giving participants a chance to meet some of the conservation office's education animals before the hunt begins. The full event runs from 2 to 3 p.m. at the park, located at 377 440th St. in Peterson.
The egg hunt itself is limited to children under 12, though the educational program is open to all ages. "The eggs contain candy and other prizes," according to the event listing, and participants should bring their own basket, sack or whatever they would like to use to collect eggs.

Admission is free, but reservations are required. Families must RSVP to the conservation office by Thursday, March 26 at 4 p.m. by calling 712-295-7985. No online or email registration option is listed; the phone line is the only confirmed method.
The Egg Hunt in the Park is one of several programs Buena Vista County Conservation has scheduled this spring and early summer, with Frog Calling on May 1, Dutch Oven Cooking 101 on May 22, and a Fishing Derby set for June 6 also on the calendar.
