BVU Places 30 Student-Athletes on American Rivers Conference Academic Team
Buena Vista University placed 30 Beavers on the A-R-C Winter Academic All-Conference Team, led by nine honorees each from competitive cheer and women's basketball.

Thirty Buena Vista University student-athletes earned spots on the American Rivers Conference 2025-26 Winter Academic All-Conference Team, the conference announced March 13, with competitive cheer and women's basketball each contributing nine honorees to the Storm Lake school's total.
The dual nine-athlete showings from those two programs drove the Beavers' representation on a list that demands a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, at minimum sophomore academic standing, at least one full year of campus residency, and active listing on the eligibility report for the nominated sport.
Among the named honorees, senior Trevor Kruse of Lone Rock, Iowa, is pursuing a degree in agricultural education. Sophomore Jesus Oliveras, from Mountain Home, Idaho, is majoring in biomedical science. Senior Hayden Stout of Carroll, Iowa, is studying exercise science. The three represent the academic range across BVU's winter athletic programs, with the full roster of all 30 honorees published on the BVU athletics website.
The recognition continues a pattern of academic achievement for BVU athletes. The program's related honors page references a November 2025 conference all-academic team announcement as well as individual recognition for Adriel Fussel, Bradi Krager, and Tre Fisher earlier that same month.
The complete conference-wide A-R-C Academic All-Conference Team is available through the American Rivers Conference, an NCAA Division III affiliate whose member institutions compete across the Midwest.
