Storm Lake schools switch families to Bound app for activities updates

Storm Lake Community School District has moved its activity updates from rSchool Activity Scheduler to Bound, changing where families go for schedules, alerts and digital ticketing across Storm Lake schools. The district’s Facebook post directs families to download the Bound app for digital ticketing, schedules and team updates, making the switch the new entry point for Tornadoes athletics and extracurricular access.

The district’s Bound page is branded Storm Lake Tornadoes High School Athletics and Activities, tying the app directly to the school system’s activity programs in Storm Lake, Iowa. At the same time, the district still keeps an Activities/Activity Calendar section on its website, and its high school and middle school each have separate athletics and activity pages. Families checking practices, game times or event access this season need to look in more than one place while they get used to the new setup.

Bound is now the tool the district is steering families toward for accurate updates. That makes the app central not just for schedule changes, but also for getting into events and receiving team notifications. The district’s continued use of its website for calendar and athletics pages gives families a way to cross-check information if an activity time, ticket link or alert looks different from what they expected.
