Mastro’s Steakhouse joins Fields West lineup in Frisco

Mastro’s Steakhouse is joining Fields West in Frisco as the first North Texas location for the brand, a lease that underscores how aggressively the 55-acre district is being built out as a luxury destination. The restaurant is one of more than two dozen businesses now signed for the project, which is part of the larger 2,500-acre Fields master-planned community.

Fields West is planned for 360,000 square feet of shopping, dining and entertainment space and another 350,000 square feet of Class A office space at 14520 Legacy Drive. Developers say the project is about 70% pre-leased and has already secured a $425 million construction loan, a financing milestone that signals the scale of the buildout before the first storefront opens.

The district is being marketed as a luxury urban village and a walkable mixed-use center, with the broader Fields ecosystem already anchored by the PGA of America headquarters, the Omni PGA Frisco Resort and the upcoming Universal Kids Resort. That location helps explain why Fields West is being positioned as more than a neighborhood shopping center: it is aimed at regional diners, visitors and office users who will treat the area as a destination rather than a quick stop along Legacy Drive.

Project materials say Bloomie’s will open its first Texas location at Fields West, and developers have also announced Crate & Barrel, Sephora, Alo Yoga, Arhaus and Williams Sonoma. Mastro’s adds a high-end dining name to that mix, reinforcing the price point and tenant strategy behind the development. For Frisco, that means another step toward a retail and restaurant cluster built to pull spending from across Collin County and beyond.

Construction on Mastro’s is expected to start in early 2027 and be completed later that year, according to project details tied to state licensing filings. Fields West itself is scheduled to open in phases beginning in mid-2027 and continuing into 2028, so the steakhouse could arrive as the rest of the district is still taking shape. The sequence gives developers an early test of whether the project can deliver the upscale, mixed-use experience its branding promises while the surrounding corridors around Frisco continue to fill with major entertainment and hospitality projects.
