The Veolia Texas Open is underway at The Courts of McKinney this week, drawing 1,142 registered players to the Carvana PPA Tour stop at 3253 Alma Rd as professionals and amateurs compete side by side through March 15.

Qualifying rounds for all pro events opened the tournament on Monday, March 9, with the main draw field advancing through rounds of 64 and 128 on Tuesday. The competition moves into the Round of 32 on Wednesday, followed by the Round of 16 on Thursday, quarterfinals Friday, and semifinals Saturday before gold and bronze medal matches close out the week Sunday. On the Humana Championship Court and Carvana Grandstand Court, Thursday and Friday sessions are scheduled from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM Eastern Time. Saturday splits the two featured courts, with semifinals on the Humana Championship Court and junior competition on the Carvana Grandstand Court, both running the same window.

Connor Pardoe, founder and CEO of the Carvana PPA Tour, framed the McKinney stop as a homecoming. "North Texas is the home of professional pickleball in the United States and we are proud to return our spring tournament to The Courts of McKinney," Pardoe said. The tour is headquartered in Dallas, giving the Texas Open a local dimension that most stops on the circuit cannot claim.

The PPA Tour holds exclusive contracts with Anna Leigh Waters, Ben Johns, Federico Staksrud, Anna Bright, and Jack Sock, among the top-ranked professionals expected to compete this week. Amateur players registered at $105 per entry for the chance to compete on the same courts as those pros, with registration having opened September 10, 2025 and closed March 7 at 5:00 PM CST.

Beyond match play, a two-day PPA Tour Camp ran March 10 and 11 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM each morning for players at the 3.0 and 4.0 skill levels. At $400 per person, the camp included six hours of instruction from PPA professionals, one courtside ticket for a day of the participant's choosing, and a Pickleball Central discount of 20 percent off apparel and 10 percent off paddles at the tournament.

Spectators unable to attend in person can follow the action through the PPA's live and archived streams of up to 40 courts on YouTube at the handle @ppastreamedcourts, alongside coverage on PickleballTV. Tickets for pro matches remain on sale for the remainder of the week at The Courts of McKinney.
