A man was struck and killed by a vehicle near the intersection of Westgate Way and FM 544 in Wylie on Wednesday, March 18, after officers and fire crews responded to find him unresponsive on the ground and could not revive him.

Officers were dispatched around 10:53 a.m. to the intersection of Westgate Way and W. FM 544 following reports that a vehicle had struck a pedestrian. Upon arrival, they found an adult male lying on the ground. Police say the pedestrian was hit near the Chili's off South Westgate Way, and the driver remained on scene.
