Prosper police probe three drive-by shootings at same home, one arrested

A quiet Prosper street became the center of an intense police investigation after three separate drive-by shootings hit the same home in the 1100 block of Oakbrook Street, leaving neighbors to absorb the shock of repeated gunfire in a suburb more often linked to rapid growth than violent retaliation.

Prosper police said the house was intentionally targeted, though the motive remains unknown. No injuries were reported, but the sequence of attacks unfolded over less than 48 hours and prompted detectives to widen the case across the North Texas area.

The first shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, when a white Audi hatchback pulled up and someone inside fired seven to eight handgun rounds into the house and a parked vehicle before driving off. The initial attack was not reported right away, but video evidence later showed the same Audi returning about an hour later and firing roughly 10 more rounds at the same residence.

A third incident came early Saturday, around 1:20 a.m., when surveillance footage captured two people on foot approaching the home. Police said at least one of them opened fire with about a dozen shots. The repeated attacks on the same address have raised alarms in the neighborhood and pushed the case beyond a routine patrol response.

Detectives arrested Mariha Marie Bullock, 20, and booked her into the Denton County Jail on a deadly conduct charge. Police said the arrest may not be the end of the case, and additional charges are possible as investigators continue reviewing video and piecing together the chain of events.

Prosper police are still trying to identify two Black male suspects believed to be between 20 and 30 years old. One suspect may go by the name Daniel, according to the report. Investigators are also looking for two vehicles connected to the shootings: the white Audi hatchback and a newer-model blue Cadillac sedan.

The Prosper Police Department said it has added patrols and tactical resources in the area and is working with regional partners, including the Celina Police Department and Elm Ridge Police Department, to keep pressure on the suspects and reassure residents. In a town that the U.S. Census Bureau estimated at 45,605 residents on July 1, 2025, and the Town of Prosper listed at 46,087 as of January 1, 2025, the shootings have landed hard in a community that has grown fast, from 30,174 in the 2020 census. Prosper Economic Development Corporation says the town has grown between 9% and 13% annually over the past five years and could reach about 72,000 residents at buildout in the next 20 to 25 years.
