Prosper took a significant step in its local development in mid November when the town's first hotel, a Holiday Inn Express and Suites, opened around November 13 at 1100 Mahard Parkway near the Dallas North Tollway. The opening was noted in reports dated November 19, 2025. The property includes amenities aimed at modern travelers, including EV charging stations, free breakfast, Wi Fi and a pool.

The hotel’s location positions it to capture visitors attending events at major regional venues. PGA Frisco and Toyota Stadium are among nearby attractions that generate overnight stays for tournaments, concerts and sports events. By providing a branded, full service option inside Prosper city limits for the first time, the new hotel fills a gap in the town’s hospitality infrastructure and reduces the need for visitors to commute from hotels farther away in Collin County and the broader Dallas metro area.

Prosper economic development officials view the opening as a sign of the town’s continued growth and increasing visitor demand.
