Copperas Cove Hosts 2026 State of the City Town Hall March 12
Copperas Cove will hold a town hall-style State of the City at the Copperas Cove Civic Center March 12, 5:30–7:00 p.m., open to the public with no RSVP required.
Copperas Cove will present its 2026 State of the City in a town hall format at the Copperas Cove Civic Center, 1206 W Avenue B, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2026. The city’s announcement makes clear the event is open to the general public and that no RSVP is required.
Officials used the City of Copperas Cove media release to frame the invitation: "The City of Copperas Cove welcomes and encourages the community to join us for the 2026 State of the City on Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 530pm to 7pm at the Copperas Cove Civic Center, located at 1206 W Avenue B." The release continues, "This year’s event will once again be a Town Hall format, come learn all about the great progress happening in Copperas Cove. Event is open to the general public to attend; No RSVP required!" Questions were directed to the Public Relations Department at publicrelations@copperascovetx.gov.

The city posted the notice in its NewsFlash / Media Release section with a Feb. 11, 2026 posting date and adjacent municipal notices including "Phone Service Interruption – TEMPORARY CONTACT INFORMATION" (posted Feb. 12, 2026), "City of Copperas Cove New Animal Care Facility Now Open" (posted Feb. 12, 2026), and "Freeway Widening, US 190, Coryell County" (posted Feb. 10, 2026). The NewsFlash page shows the CivicPlus government website credit and the same Civic Center address formatting used in the event text.
Local coverage in the Killeen Daily Herald repeated the city's language and described the gathering as an "annual event," adding the line, "The Copperas Cove government is encouraging the community to attend the '2026 State of the City' event next month." KDH's page capture included two image captions reading "Copperas Cove welcome sign."
The City's Facebook post mirrored the media release and recorded modest online engagement: seven reactions and one share in the captured view. Public comments on that post ranged from short endorsements to policy criticism. Joe Emerson commented "HERE! HERE!" and later asked, "Very nice! Can we change the logo back while we’re at it?" Jennifer Broadway added, "Not like we will get the $95k back." Monte Crow offered a lengthy critique of city policy and staffing: "We all know what the state of our city is.. sad. Here's something I learned just the other day, did you all know that for the last 30 years we've had the same amount of police officers? The city has grown by 15,000 people and is continuing to grow but yet they've not added to the police department. Maybe if it stop wasting money on things like commercial Solid Waste there might be money in the budget for things we actually need. I mean it's a penalty should never ever have anything to do with the commercial side of solid waste. It's better left in the private sector. If we were to do away with the commercial side of solid waste we would save so much money."
The city's release and republished notices did not list speakers, a detailed agenda, whether the event will be livestreamed or recorded, parking or ADA arrangements, or contact phone numbers for press. Those planning to attend or seeking additional logistical details are directed to email publicrelations@copperascovetx.gov. The Civic Center address appears in city materials as 1206 W Avenue B and in some local copies as 1206 W. Ave. B.
