Britney Louise Cahoon faced the most serious charges in a busy day of Copperas Cove police activity on March 24, when officers took her into custody at the 2900 block of Oak Hill Drive on counts of continuous violence against family, assault of an elderly or disabled person, and criminal mischief in the $750-to-$2,500 range. Pedro Marcial Cortez was arrested at the 1200 block of West Avenue B on three separate municipal court warrants: expired registration, failure to maintain financial responsibility, and failure to display a driver's license.

Property crime also surfaced in the log. Criminal mischief valued at between $2,500 and $30,000 was reported at the 1300 block of High Chaparral Drive, with water meters listed as the damaged property and a total estimated loss of $3,000.

A disorderly conduct call came in from the 2300 block of Coy Drive, and an evading arrest or detention case was left as an open investigation after an incident at the 2500 block of East Business Highway 190. A traffic accident was also documented at the intersection of West Avenue G and North 1st Street.
