Copperas Cove Police Log Multiple Arrests, Family Violence Calls March 17

Stacey Lynn Spencer was arrested on assault with bodily injury-family violence charges at 1:41 p.m. March 17 in the 1100 block of West Business Highway 190, one of two separate family violence incidents logged in the Copperas Cove Police Department's daily bulletin that day.
The second family violence call came hours later, at 8:42 p.m., when officers responded to an assault with bodily injury-family violence report in the 1200 block of South 7th Street. The bulletin does not list an arrest in connection with that incident, and the department had an open investigation underway at 302 East Avenue E by 8:51 p.m., handled by Officer Smith.
Two other arrests appeared in the 13-entry bulletin. James Edward Tuttle was taken into custody just after 2 a.m. on Wolfe Road after Officer Jaccaud stopped a vehicle for driving while license invalid. Tuttle's arrest involved assistance from the Burnet County Sheriff's Office and stemmed from a failure-to-appear status hearing; the original charge was driving while license invalid with previous convictions and suspension without financial responsibility. Christopher T. Cox was arrested shortly after 6 a.m. at 302 East Avenue E on an active arrest warrant connected to criminal trespass, with Officer Lanza handling the call.
Criminal mischief was reported at 1204 West Avenue B before 9 a.m., with the bulletin noting a damage range of $100 to $750. A traffic accident was recorded at 814 North 1st Street at 6:29 p.m., handled by Officer Lopez. Officer Leuma responded to a criminal trespass call in the 700 block of South 11th Street at 7:12 p.m. and had earlier recovered found property at 2704 East Business Highway 190 just after noon.
Officers also handled two welfare checks during the day: one in the 300 block of Veterans Avenue shortly after midnight, assigned to Officer Lanza, and another in the 2100 block of Gadwall Drive at 10:35 p.m., handled by Officer Karcher. An emergency medical detention was processed at 10:06 p.m. in the 300 block of North Drive, also by Lanza.
