Cumberland County Health Fair Highlights Resources for Children With Special Needs
CIACC's Children's Health Resource Fair at RCSJ Cumberland connected families and social workers with services for kids with developmental, behavioral, and substance use needs.

Families, school counselors, and social workers turned out at the RCSJ Cumberland gymnasium on April 3, 2025, for a two-hour resource fair organized by the Cumberland County Children's Inter-Agency Coordinating Council, known as CIACC, to connect them with services available to children from birth through age 21 and beyond.
The Children's Health Resource Fair ran from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM and focused on showcasing resources for young people with emotional and behavioral needs, intellectual or developmental disabilities, and substance use issues in Cumberland County. The event drew together professionals from across the child-services landscape, with CIACC specifically encouraging attendance from families, school personnel, Division of Child Protection and Permanency workers, and social workers.
CIACC, the county body that coordinates services across agencies serving children and youth, organized the fair as a concentrated opportunity for families and the professionals who serve them to survey what the county's network of support organizations can offer. The breadth of the target population, covering children from birth through early adulthood, reflects the range of needs CIACC addresses through its inter-agency coordination work.
The county's website listing for the event pointed attendees to a downloadable PDF flyer for additional details. Community resource organizations linked on the same county page include NAMI, the CGS Family Support Organization, NJ211, the National Institute of Mental Health, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and the Juvenile Justice Commission, representing the broader network of agencies that serve Cumberland County families navigating these challenges.
