Free Cumberland County Parks Day Showcases Sports, Clubs, and Outdoor Activities
Cumberland County's free Parks & Recreation Day hits the Millville fairgrounds May 30, featuring sports demos, hobby clubs, and an Even Kiel 5K.

Cumberland County is bringing local sports groups, hobby clubs, fitness instructors, and outdoor enthusiasts under one roof this spring, with a free Parks & Recreation Day set for Saturday, May 30 at the Cumberland County Fairgrounds in Millville.
The event runs from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 3301 Carmel Rd and is designed as a showcase of what the county has to offer residents looking to get active, join a club, or simply explore recreation options close to home. Admission is free, and organizers say attendees can expect recreational demonstrations, on-site registrations for local programs, and food trucks throughout the grounds.
Even Kiel will add a competitive element to the day, hosting a fee-based 5K alongside a free fun run, both held entirely within the fairground perimeter. The pairing gives participants a chance to test their endurance or take a more casual first step, depending on their comfort level, without leaving the fairgrounds.
Explore Cumberland NJ, the promotional arm of the Cumberland County Department of Planning, Tourism & Community Affairs, is hosting the event. The department, based at 291 Morton Avenue in Millville, can be reached at 856-453-2175 for questions. The county notes that Cumberland has more than 60 cultural organizations, and events like this one are positioned to connect residents with that network directly.
Groups and organizations interested in participating as vendors or demonstrators can reserve space through the county's online form. Details are available through the Cumberland County event page or the Explore Cumberland website.
