Inspira Health Seeks Volunteers at Vineland Campus for Multiple Roles
Inspira Health is recruiting volunteers as young as 15 for its Vineland medical campus, with roles ranging from greeting patients to staffing the Twice Loved Treasures Thrift Shop.
Inspira Health put out a call for volunteers at its Vineland medical campus and across its southern New Jersey network, inviting residents from high school students to retirees to fill roles in patient support, clerical work, retail, and companionship.
The nonprofit health system, which traces its roots to 1899 and now operates more than 60 locations across Gloucester, Cumberland, Salem and Camden counties, posted the announcement March 19 through the Greater Vineland Chamber of Commerce. According to Inspira Health Network, volunteers are needed primarily during daytime hours, though some weekend slots are available, with flexible scheduling offered to fit individual availability.
"Our volunteers are an essential part of the healing environment, offering kindness, support, and comfort to patients, visitors, and staff across our hospitals and care centers," Inspira said in the press release.
The range of roles is broader than many people might expect from a hospital volunteer program. Inspira is looking for people to welcome and direct guests, handle clerical and office tasks, assist with patient transport, staff gift and thrift shops, support nursing staff with patient-related services, and visit patients for spiritual and emotional support. The Twice Loved Treasures Thrift Shop is listed among the volunteer sites, alongside Inspira's Home Care and Hospice programs and its LIFE Center.
Beyond Vineland, volunteer positions are also available at Inspira Health Center Bridgeton, Inspira Medical Center Elmer, and Inspira Medical Center Woodbury.

Programs are open to anyone 15 or older. "Inspira welcomes volunteers from all stages of life, high school students, college-age young adults, retirees, working professionals, and anyone with a heart for service," the release stated.
Inspira framed volunteering as personally rewarding as well as community-oriented. "Volunteering at Inspira is more than donating your time, it's joining a compassionate community. Many of our volunteers say the experience enriches their lives in ways they never expected. They build meaningful relationships, gain new skills, and take pride in knowing they've brightened someone's day."
