Millville High Seniors Share Goals, Plans With Local Woman's Club
Millville High seniors Sophia Pasparage and Jaylen Rhett brought résumés that would impress any college admissions office to the Woman's Club's Valentine's Day meeting.

Hearts, chocolates, and a table full of student achievement set the scene at the Millville Woman's Club's February meeting, where members dressed in red welcomed two Millville High School seniors who laid out their accomplishments and post-graduation ambitions. Pam McNamee, the club's president, opened the gathering and thanked Joann Schmidt, Mary Miskelly, and Joan Fauver for the Valentine's Day decor and luncheon before Donna Pio of the Education Committee introduced the guests.
Pio brought forward seniors Sophia Pasparage and Jaylen Rhett to share their studies, interests, activities, and goals with the room. The appearance is part of a broader Education Committee program: SNJ Today reported on March 10, 2026, that the club had invited four Millville High School seniors to meetings to share their accomplishments and post-graduation plans, though the February gathering centered on Pasparage and Rhett.
Pasparage's list of involvements at Millville High runs deep. She holds membership in the National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, Student Council, Leaders Club, and Key Club, and serves as Class Vice President. She has earned Academic and Marching Band Varsity Letters and leads the clarinet section in the MHS marching band. Her musical life extends across the Spring Musical, Madrigals, All County Honors Band, the MHS Jazz Band, and the SJBODA Honors Symphonic Band. Off the stage and field, she has taken part in Mock Trial and Model Congress, and she currently holds the top editorial position on the yearbook staff as Editor-in-Chief. After graduation, Pasparage plans to attend Rowan University and pursue a career as a secondary education teacher.

Rhett brings an equally full record. A member of the National Honor Society, Key Club, and Leaders Club, she has served as Junior Class Secretary and now holds the position of Senior Class Treasurer. She has earned Academic Letters along with Varsity Letters in both winter and spring Track and Field. Her volunteer work spans a wide range of community commitments: Boys and Girls Tri-City Club 9, Boys and Girls Boxing, basketball concession stands, the AVID food drive, Haunted Hall, 50/50 Money Tickets, Chick-fil-A Senior Night, and Pink Out Pom Pom Sell. She also mentors young children in baking, makeup, and drawing. Rhett plans to attend college and pursue nursing, with hopes of eventually becoming a travel nurse.
Club members expressed appreciation for both students' accomplishments and wished them well as they move toward their goals.
