Decatur County Virtual Academy Registration Closed After December Deadline

Registration for the Decatur County Virtual Academy for the spring semester closed on December 18 and the district will not accept any late enrollments. Students seeking placement in the virtual program were required to complete an online application and submit a 250 word essay explaining why they needed to transfer to the Academy. Once both items were submitted applicants were to be notified whether they had been accepted.

Students currently enrolled at Decatur County Middle School were instructed to see Ms. Kodi Breeden to complete the registration process. Students at Ridgley High School were instructed to see Ms. Amanda Keeton. Out of district students were asked to contact Dr. Scott King at 731 847 1750 or by email at scott.king@decaturschools.org to schedule a meeting with district staff. The district emphasized that registration would not be permitted after the December 18 deadline and directed any remaining questions to Dr. King.
