A Decatur County SWAT-assisted raid in Parsons ended with a captive being rescued, two people arrested and a list of drug and violence charges that now push the case well beyond a simple narcotics bust. Deputies said Terry Brodie and Patrisha Morgan were taken into custody after a search of a home in the 3400 block of Highway 412 East turned up methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and digital scales.

The Decatur County Sheriff’s Office said the Jackson Police Department SWAT Team helped execute the warrant on Wednesday, May 20. Inside the home, investigators found Brodie, Morgan and a victim. After the SWAT team safely extracted everyone, authorities determined Brodie had unlawfully held the victim against their will after allegedly assaulting them.

Brodie faces charges of possession of meth with intent, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of Schedule V controlled substances, simple possession of Schedule VI controlled substances, false imprisonment, aggravated domestic assault, violation of probation and violation of the sex offender registry. Morgan was charged with possession of meth with intent, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance. Both suspects were booked into the Decatur County Detention Center without incident.

The location of the raid places the case squarely in one of Parsons’ main travel corridors, just off Highway 412 East. For Decatur County residents, the added allegations of unlawful restraint and domestic violence deepen the concern around a home where deputies say multiple drugs and distribution tools were also recovered.

The sheriff’s office publicly thanked Jackson Police Department Chief Corley and the SWAT Team for helping ensure what it called a safe and successful outcome. The case also arrives amid broader enforcement pressure in the county: the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation announced a separate Decatur County drug roundup on May 7 that led to more than a dozen indictments and arrests, underscoring how active narcotics investigations have become across the area.
