KSJD and Sunflower Theatre Host Community Meet-and-Greet at Dolores River Brewery
KSJD and Sunflower Theatre staff and DJs are at Dolores River Brewery tonight from 5 to 7 p.m. for "Brews with KSJD."

Tonight at Dolores River Brewery in Dolores, KSJD Community Radio and the Sunflower Theatre are holding "Brews with KSJD," a community meet-and-greet running from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Staff, volunteer DJs, and theatre volunteers from both organizations will be on hand to field questions about community radio and performing arts.
According to the KSJD community calendar, "Members of the KSJD and Sunflower Theatre staff and DJ corps will be at Dolores River Brewery on Wednesday, March 11th from 5 to 7pm to answer your questions about community radio and performing arts with our organization."
The event is one of several happening in the area this evening. Starting at the same time, the Cortez Public Library is hosting local author Margaret Kirk for a Women's History Month author talk on her book "They Persisted," described as a historical non-fiction storytelling book about strong, empowering women from the past, with snacks and refreshments provided. Later tonight at 7:00 p.m., the San Juan Basin Archaeological Society presents Daniel Hampson, an FLC alumnus and staff member at Crow Canyon Archaeological Center, at the Lyceum at the Center of Southwest Studies and on Zoom. Hampson will present "Hidden on the Surface: Preliminary Findings from an Ongoing Review of Southwest LiDAR Data." More information on that talk is available at sjbas.org.

The Sunflower Theatre has additional programming ahead this week and month. On Friday, March 13, students from Anita Burleson's Vocal Performance Classes take the stage beginning at 7:00 p.m. for an evening of varied musical styles. On Saturday, March 21, the theatre hosts an Equinox DJ Dance Party starting at 6:00 p.m., with local DJs spinning what the listing describes as "everything from groovy electronic beats to dance floor classics." Details on the vocal showcase are available at sunflowertheatre.org.
