Castle Pines schedules 4 p.m. interviews and 6:30 p.m. council meeting

Castle Pines will interview applicants for open seats on the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board at 4:00 p.m. on Feb. 10, followed by the regular City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m., the city announced when it published the meeting agenda on Feb. 6. The agenda notes the meetings will be conducted as hybrid sessions, with in-person seating at the event hall and virtual attendance available by registration.

The city posted: "The agenda for the February 10 City Council meeting is now available. City Council will conduct interviews with applicants for open seats on the Castle Pines Parks and Recreation Advisory Board beginning at 4:00 p.m. The regular City Council meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m." The notice also states: "City Council meetings are held as hybrid meetings, with both virtual and in-person attendance options available. Meetings are held at the Castle Pines Library Event Hall (360 Village Square Lane). Register to attend the meeting virtually."

A related study session was held Feb. 3 to interview applicants for the Planning Commission, with selected candidates slated for appointment at the Feb. 10 meeting. As the city explained in a prior notice: "The agenda for the February 3 City Council study session is now available. City Council will conduct interviews with applicants for open seats on the Castle Pines Planning Commission. Selected applicants are scheduled to be appointed during the February 10 City Council meeting."

Residents should note that the city’s notices use slightly different labels for the physical venue; meeting locations are listed as the Castle Pines Library Event Hall and as the Douglas County Library Event Hall, both at 360 Village Square Lane. The posting reiterates the council’s regular schedule and public-participation rules: "The regular meetings of the City Council are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Douglas County Library, 360 Village Square Lane, Event Hall. The public is encouraged to attend and participate in these meetings. Anyone who wants to address the Council may do so during the public comment period at the regular meetings of the City Council. Public comment is limited to three minutes per person."
