Former Parker Police Sergeant Indicted on Sexual Conduct, Misconduct Charges
A grand jury indicted former Parker police sergeant Troy Brienzo on seven charges, including two felonies, tied to allegations involving two adult victims.

A grand jury indicted former Parker Police Sergeant Troy Brienzo on seven criminal charges, including two felonies, stemming from allegations involving two adult victims that were first reported to police on Jan. 7, 2026.
Brienzo, who resigned from the Parker Police Department on Feb. 13 while serving on administrative leave, was taken into custody on April 3 and booked into the Douglas County Detention Facility. He made an initial court appearance over the weekend following his arrest, with a second hearing set for April 13 in the 23rd Judicial District.
The indictment carries two felony counts of Unlawful Sexual Conduct by a Peace Officer, one misdemeanor count of Unlawful Sexual Contact, and four misdemeanor counts of First-Degree Official Misconduct.
To avoid a conflict of interest, the investigation was conducted by an outside law enforcement agency and then forwarded to the 23rd Judicial District Attorney's Office. The Parker Police Department announced the charges on April 6.
Parker Police Chief Jim Tsurapas addressed the allegations directly in a department statement. "I want to be clear: the allegations run counter to this department's mission and values and tarnish the very badge we wear," Tsurapas said. "This matter is being taken seriously and is under active investigation. It will continue through the appropriate processes to ensure transparency, accountability and to maintain the community's trust."
The department said it will continue cooperating with prosecutors as the case moves through pretrial proceedings. Because the prosecution is active and involves adult victims, officials released limited details and declined further comment.
Brienzo is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
