Three New Retailers Open at The Juniper in Downtown Parker
A James Beard-recognized bakery, a coffee shop born from a Tokyo train journal, and a national açaí chain have opened at The Juniper on Parker's Mainstreet.

Poulette Bakeshop, Marvin's Place Coffee Co. and Playa Bowls opened their doors at The Juniper, the 264-unit luxury rental community on Downtown Parker's Mainstreet, marking the first three retail tenants to debut at the two-building property.
Poulette Bakeshop, a James Beard-recognized bakery, opened what developers described as its Parker flagship location. The nationally acclaimed shop joins Playa Bowls, an açaí shop and wellness destination with locations across the country, as two of the three ground-floor tenants now serving residents and visitors along Mainstreet.
The most unusual origin story belongs to the third tenant. Marvin's Place Coffee Co., founded by Chris Gary, a veteran film and TV producer, traces its concept to a journal entry Gary scribbled on a Tokyo train ride in 2019. That idea evolved into what Gary describes as an immersive specialty concept blending coffee, design and architecture. The Juniper location, which occupies approximately 1,500 square feet next to Poulette Bakeshop, is Marvin's Place's inaugural location. The shop offers expertly crafted coffee alongside a curated selection of books focused on design and architecture.
The property is developed by Colorado-based MGL Partners and U.S. developer Rockefeller Group. "The addition of Poulette Bakeshop, Marvin's Place Coffee Co. and Playa Bowls reinforces Mainstreet as a dynamic, walkable hub where distinctive retail and residential living come together," said Kerry Joannides, Vice President at Rockefeller Group. "These locally rooted concepts both elevate the neighborhood's character while also deepening the amenity offering at The Juniper. We're proud to support tenants who strengthen the vitality of Parker's downtown core and create places people want to return to daily."

Rebecca Macey, Development Director at MGL Partners, said the retail lineup fulfills the project's original intent. "From the beginning, The Juniper was envisioned as a residential community that supports the growth of Mainstreet and contributes to the vibrancy of Downtown Parker," Macey said. "These three new retail destinations at the property help complete that vision, bringing a prime lineup of community-focused offerings to the heart of Parker."
Parker Mayor Joshua Rivero welcomed the openings. "It's exciting to see Poulette Bakeshop continue to grow in Parker and to welcome Marvin's Place Coffee Co. and Playa Bowls to The Juniper," Rivero said. "As a small business owner myself, I know the dedication it takes to build a successful business, and Parker is proud to support the entrepreneurs and local businesses that make our community so vibrant."
The Juniper is continuing its residential lease-up. Developers positioned the retail additions as reinforcing the property's role as both a residential address and a gathering point at the center of Parker's downtown, which is attracting new businesses and growing residential demand as it builds its profile as a lifestyle destination in the Greater Denver area.
