Dubois County Clerk Amy Kippenbrock has announced that early in-person voting for the May 5 primary election will begin Tuesday, April 7, at the Courthouse Annex on Courthouse Square in Jasper, with satellite locations opening across the county on select dates in late April and early May.

The Courthouse Annex at 602 Courthouse Square will serve as the main voting site, running weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through the early voting period. Four Wednesdays, April 8, 15, 22 and 29, carry extended hours until 6 p.m. Saturday voting at the annex is available April 25 and May 2, both from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The final day of early voting at the annex is Monday, May 4, when the site closes at noon.

Because Dubois County operates as a vote center county, any registered county voter may cast a ballot at any open polling location during early voting or on Election Day, regardless of precinct.

Four satellite sites add options for voters who live farther from downtown Jasper. The 35th Street Fire Station in Jasper opens April 25 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., then runs Monday through Friday, April 27 through May 1, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and closes out on May 2 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Tri-County YMCA in Ferdinand is open on April 25 and May 2, both days from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Huntingburg Event Center offers the same two dates, with hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 25 and an earlier window of 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 2. The Birdseye Fire Station operates on May 2 only, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Kippenbrock reminded voters to bring a valid photo ID to cast a ballot in person. On Election Day, May 5, all county polling locations will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
