Jasper Chamber, Indiana Chamber Launch ChamberCare Health Plans for Small Businesses
Jasper Chamber and the Indiana Chamber launched ChamberCare plans giving member small businesses access to a MEWA for employers with 2–50 employees to help lower health costs.

The Jasper Chamber of Commerce announced a partnership with the Indiana Chamber to make ChamberCare available to local member businesses, offering an alternative group health option aimed at small employers with 2–50 employees. The program is being promoted as a multiple employer welfare arrangement (MEWA) designed to combine purchasing scale with a local support structure for Dubois County companies.
Materials distributed to chambers and members identify Columbus, Indiana-based SIHO Insurance Services as the health coverage partner, with CVS Caremark handling pharmacy benefits and Delta Dental providing dental and vision. Under SIHO, the TruConnect ChamberCare and First Health networks "include ALL major hospital systems across the state of Indiana," and First Health/Aetna is cited as providing "an expansive nationwide network" for employees who travel or live out of state. Wellnessindiana materials additionally report a "92% to 95% crossover with current Anthem network providers" for the TruConnect and First Health networks.

Eligibility for ChamberCare is explicit: employers must have between 2 and 50 total employees and must be domiciled in Indiana. Employeebenefitsolutions materials add specificity that at least two employees must be enrolled on the employer's medical plan and that part-time and seasonal employees count toward the 50-employee limit. The Indiana Chamber emphasizes that "All you’ll need is an Indiana Chamber membership!" and provides a pricing breakdown for new groups: 2–19 employees $40 per month, 20–39 employees $50 per month, and 40+ $65 per month.
Local messaging from the Jasper Chamber frames the move as a response to rising costs. The chamber wrote, "We know the cost of healthcare coverage is an ongoing concern, and you even may be weighing your options right now," and added, "We’re confident that the new ChamberCare will improve healthcare affordability for businesses like yours in our community." Promotional material also asserts "Many employers are receiving new coverage quotes that are up to 20% less than comparable competitor rates" and highlights features such as a dedicated Indiana-based customer service team, zero or low-cost medications, expedited claims and more affordable outpatient procedures.
Industry materials show a mixed administration history. Some third-party guides describe a ChamberCare Health Alliance administered by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield and note the plan is "a self-funded trust" governed by a Board of Trustees that meets Indiana Department of Insurance requirements. The available sources do not specify whether SIHO supplanted Anthem or whether multiple administration options coexist, and that point remains unresolved in the documentation provided to chambers.
For Jasper-area employers seeking more information, the Indiana Chamber asks local chambers and members to contact bhulse@indianachamber.com. SIHO lists ChamberCare@SIHO.org and (317) 678-0321 for questions and names Carolyn, Ryan and Eric as points of contact. The immediate implication for local businesses is clearer access to a chamber-backed group option with stated lower quotes and broad network access; the next steps for owners are to request a quote, review plan designs and confirm regulatory and cost details with the listed contacts before enrollment decisions.
