Jasper Launches Online Platform for Public Input on Comprehensive Plan Update
Jasper opens an online platform today for residents to shape the city's long-range Comprehensive Plan, built by Future iQ with local firm Stover & Associates.

The City of Jasper is inviting the public to weigh in on its long-range future through a newly launched online engagement platform tied to the city's Comprehensive Plan update, announced March 10, 2026.
The platform was developed and is managed by Future iQ, a firm specializing in public participation tools, working alongside engineering and planning consultancy WGI, Inc. and Jasper-area local consultant Stover & Associates. The involvement of Stover & Associates gives the process a locally grounded perspective as planners work to shape policies that will guide Jasper's growth and development over the coming decades.
Comprehensive plans serve as a municipality's foundational policy document, establishing long-term direction on issues such as land use, transportation, housing, economic development, and community services. For a city like Jasper, the county seat of Dubois County and home to a manufacturing-rooted economy that has steadily diversified, the update carries significant weight for both current residents and future generations.
The online platform allows community members to participate in the planning process without attending in-person meetings, broadening access for residents who may have work schedules, family obligations, or other commitments that make traditional public hearings difficult to attend. The platform is structured around topic-specific content areas, guiding participants through focused questions rather than presenting an open-ended blank form.

By partnering with Future iQ and WGI, Inc., the City of Jasper is drawing on outside expertise while keeping Stover & Associates involved to ensure local knowledge informs how the engagement process is framed and conducted.
The platform is open now, and city officials are encouraging broad participation as the Comprehensive Plan update moves forward through its public input phase.
