AutomationDirect in Cumming adds Endress+Hauser Picomag flow meters with EPDM seals
AutomationDirect in Cumming added Endress+Hauser Picomag flow meters with EPDM seals, widening local access to Bluetooth-configurable meters for drinking and industrial water applications.

AutomationDirect in Cumming has expanded its flow-sensor lineup by adding Endress+Hauser Picomag magnetic-inductive flow meters fitted with EPDM seals, a move the company says opens up additional applications beyond those supported by the existing FKM seals. The new EPDM-sealed variants bring a combination of water-focused approvals, wireless setup and industrial I/O to local shops, municipal crews and manufacturers that rely on precise liquid measurement.
The Picomag series measures conductive liquids with a minimum conductivity of 10 μS/cm and can monitor flow, temperature and volume simultaneously. Manufacturing Automation reports the meters can handle flow rates up to 198 GPM. Devices include two configurable I/O points that support analog current or voltage output, pulse or switch outputs, IO-Link communication and status inputs for a totalizer reset. IO-Link also enables direct access to process and diagnostics data and “on the fly” device configuration for faster commissioning.
Configuration and routine checks can be done wirelessly via the free SmartBlue app on Android and iOS devices. Design World and AutomationDirect materials note a Bluetooth connection range of up to 32 ft, a full-color TFT display that auto-rotates with orientation, and a “knock-to-call” feature that calls up configuration parameters by tapping the device. Those interface features make Picomag suited to installation sites that are hard to reach or where technicians need quick local access without wiring changes.
For buyers concerned about regulatory and potable-water use, AutomationDirect’s earlier product listing shows the Picomag line carries UL Listing, CE marking and RoHS compliance, and is NSF/ANSI 61 certified for drinking water applications. AutomationDirect’s product materials list a 1-year warranty and a starting price of $657.00 for the series. Customers can contact AutomationDirect by phone at 800-633-0405 for ordering or product questions.

AutomationDirect’s social media and trade press postings note the EPDM option specifically. Manufacturing Automation summarized the company announcement: “AutomationDirect has added Endress+Hauser Picomag magnetic‑inductive flowmeters with EPDM seals to their product offerings.” The same coverage added that “The metres reportedly enable additional applications beyond those supported by existing FKM seals.”
For Forsyth County, the practical effect is immediate: local integrators, water systems and light-industrial operators now have a nearby distributor offering Picomag meters with a seal material choice that the vendor says broadens usable applications. The combination of Bluetooth setup, IO-Link fieldbus integration and NSF/ANSI 61 certification positions these meters for municipal work, small treatment systems and industrial water monitoring. Buyers should verify model-specific flow ratings, material compatibility and certification documents for EPDM-sealed SKUs when ordering; AutomationDirect’s product pages and sales line can provide SKUs, lead times and additional technical datasheets.
