Penguin Car Wash Plans Free Grand Opening Festival in Cumming

Blue Penguin Car Wash is throwing open the doors of its new Cumming location Saturday, March 28, with a grand opening celebration that kicks off at 10:30 a.m. Every guest who pulls in will leave with a clean car: the event promises a free car wash all day, along with entertainment, food, and raffles at the newest Blue Penguin Car Wash, situated in a city better known for Lake Lanier and Sawnee Mountain Preserve.

The ribbon-cutting starts at 10:30 a.m., and the full festival runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 3170 Magnolia Commons Circle, Cumming, GA 30040. Admission is free.

The lineup reads more like a neighborhood block party than a car wash opening. Four wash packages are on the menu, but on Saturday the focus shifts to Sir Waddleton, the brand's mascot penguin in a baseball cap, who will be on hand to greet guests. Face painting, a balloon artist, and a Vampire Penguin shaved ice vendor round out the entertainment, while the food spread includes hotdogs, burgers, snacks, and refreshments.

The membership pitch is hard to ignore: Blue Penguin's contract-free unlimited wash memberships are being offered at $5 for the first month to new customers throughout the event. Standard monthly pricing on the site runs $19.99 and $25.99 depending on the package tier, making the grand opening rate a steep discount. Exclusive discounts on all membership packages will also be available throughout the day.

Raffle prizes add another incentive to stick around, with giveaways including free car wash memberships, a Blue Penguin plushie, a complimentary single wash, and a discounted wash. Every guest who gets a wash also receives a free air freshener.

The express car wash offers four packages built around features like a spot-free rinse, underbody wash, triple foam conditioner, tire shine and wheel clean, and the brand's signature "dab light show." All Blue Penguin Car Wash tunnels use a friction-based wash system. The Cumming location promotes biodegradable soaps and water recycling systems as part of its eco-conscious approach.

Blue Penguin already operates locations in Marietta, Griffin, and Douglasville, making Cumming the chain's latest Georgia outpost.
