CHP seeks help identifying suspect in Reedley shooting on Highway 180

California Highway Patrol detectives are asking the public to help identify the suspect in the attempted murder of a Reedley man shot while driving on Highway 180 in Fresno County near McCall Avenue. Investigators are looking for a blue 2025 Honda Accord, believed to have had a driver and at least one passenger.

The shooting happened July 11, and the case remains under active investigation. Valley Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the suspect’s arrest, adding a financial incentive for anyone who saw the car, the people inside it, or the shooting itself.

CHP Fresno has also posted about the case on social media while detectives continue working the investigation. The CHP Major Crimes Unit is among the agencies involved as investigators try to identify the occupants of the Honda and piece together the circumstances of the attack on Highway 180.

The case adds to a stretch of serious violent-crime investigations in the Reedley area, including past shootings and homicide cases that have drawn close attention across Fresno County. Highway 180 is a heavily used route through the eastern part of the county, and the shooting near McCall Avenue has put renewed focus on safety along that corridor.
