Clovis wellness festival to bring 47 stops to local trails, May 2
Clovis will turn the Old Town and Dry Creek trails into a free, 47-stop community festival on May 2, with water, snacks and live activity along the route.

Clovis is setting up its trails for more than exercise. The city’s tenth annual Trail Fest will spread 47 stops across the Old Town Trail and Dry Creek Trail on Saturday, May 2, from 8 a.m. to noon, turning the route from Fourth Street and Veterans Parkway to Dry Creek Park and Railroad Park into a citywide walk, bike and skate gathering.
The event is free, family-friendly and open to pets, with attendees able to start or end at any point along the trail. City materials say walkers, runners, bikers and scooter riders all are welcome, and the map calls for free water, snacks, challenges and food for sale at more than 45 locations along the route and nearby parks. Organizers are also asking people to watch for bikes and pedestrians when crossing streets and to respect nearby residents and private property.
The scale of this year’s event underscores how much Clovis is trying to use public space as a civic asset, not just a path between destinations. Deputy General Services Director Bethany Berube said the city embraces the idea that “play is as essential as work” and that the trails represent wellness, connection and recreation. The city says the 2026 edition is tied to America’s 250th anniversary celebration, giving the event a broader civic frame as it brings more people into Old Town and along the Dry Creek corridor.
The lineup behind Trail Fest is wide, ranging from city departments to nonprofit and community partners. Listed participants include Clovis Fire, Clovis Police, Clovis Recreation, Clovis Animal Services, Clovis Planning & Development Services, Clovis Public Utilities, Clovis Senior Activity Center, Clovis Parks Division, Clovis Youth Commission, Clovis Young Marines and Clovis Transit, along with Fresno County Public Library, the Marjaree Mason Center, Old Town Clovis Kiwanis Club, Sonrise Coffee Co., Sprouts Farmers Market, Better Nutrition 4 You, Clovis Veterans Memorial District, American Legion Cecil Cox Post 147, Clovis VFW Post 3225 and the Veterans Affairs Center for Development & Civic Engagement.
The event’s growth is also part of the story. Last year’s ninth annual Trail Fest featured more than 35 locations; this year’s map shows 47 stops, a jump that reinforces the city’s push to make the trails feel larger, busier and more visible as a shared public space.
