Elvis Crespo Joins Nelly, Twista for Fresno's 2026 Tequila Fest Lineup

Elvis Crespo, whose debut solo album produced the international dance hit "Suavemente" and helped define Latin pop in the late 1990s, will take the Chukchansi Park stage at Fresno's 2026 Tequila Fest alongside Nelly and Twista. Organizers announced the booking on March 26, completing a headline trio that spans hip-hop and Latin music for a May 2 festival in downtown Fresno.

Fresno Grizzlies General Manager Andrew Milios welcomed the addition: "With Nelly, Twista, and now Elvis Crespo, the 2026 lineup truly has something for everyone. His music brings incredible energy and will add a unique international vibe to an already unforgettable night."

Crespo rose to prominence in the mid-1990s as a vocalist for Grupo Manía before launching a solo career headlined by the album Suavemente and its title track, along with the follow-up hit "Tu Sonrisa." His catalog ranks among the most recognizable in merengue, and his addition to the Tequila Fest bill directly targets the Central Valley's sizable Latin music audience.

The booking reflects a deliberate cross-genre strategy: anchor the festival with artists who pull from distinct fan bases, then let the tequila tastings, local food and beverage vendors, and the Chukchansi Park setting do the rest. Nelly and Twista, both rooted in hip-hop, were already confirmed before Crespo joined the marquee.

Tickets went on sale the same week as the announcement and are available at TequilaFestFresno.com and at the Chukchansi Park Ticket Office. Full pricing tiers and a set schedule had not been released as of the announcement date.

Fresno's Latino community represents one of the county's largest demographic groups, and outdoor festivals headlined by Spanish-language artists at a venue the scale of Chukchansi Park are comparatively rare. The Crespo announcement draws directly on that market, and attendance figures from May 2 will test whether the mixed-genre formula converts into full stands. In the run-up to the event, festival planners will also face the logistical work of managing traffic and vendor placement at a downtown ballpark expecting a capacity crowd.

The 2026 Tequila Fest headline lineup now stretches from Twista's mid-2000s rap chart run to Nelly's early 2000s crossover peak to Crespo's late-1990s Latin explosion, a range that positions the May 2 date as one of the more ambitious spring entertainment nights the city's downtown has hosted.
