Detectives with the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force arrested Mario Angel Dominguez, 26, of Fresno on felony charges after executing a search warrant at a residence on the 2900 block of N. Mariposa Street. Authorities booked Dominguez on allegations that include arranging to meet a minor for sex and sending harmful material to a minor; bail was set at $45,000 and he has since posted bond and been released from custody.

“Detectives served a search warrant on February 26 at a residence on the 2900 block of N. Mariposa Street in Fresno as part of the investigation,” investigators said, and officers seized electronic devices belonging to Dominguez for forensic analysis. Investigators placed Dominguez under arrest during the operation and transported him into custody for booking on the felony allegations.

The task force detailed the alleged conduct in precise terms: “Dominguez had been engaging in sexually explicit conversations and sharing inappropriate images with a female minor. He was also attempting to arrange an in‑person meeting for sexual purposes, according to the task force.” Those allegations form the basis of the charges listed against him in case number #2602020274.

Law enforcement emphasized that the probe is ongoing and that forensic review of seized phones, computers or other electronic media is underway. “The investigation remains active, and detectives believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward,” authorities said, urging anyone with relevant information to contact investigators.

Anyone with tips is asked to reference case #2602020274 and contact Detective Fernando Rosario at (559) 760-6282 or Valley Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-7867. Tips can also be submitted online and may be provided anonymously; individuals may be eligible for a cash reward.

The Central California ICAC Task Force, which led the operation, is a regional multiagency effort that includes 68 federal, state and local law enforcement agencies across nine Central Valley counties and regularly partners with Fresno Police Department, Fresno County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations. The task force has investigated other high-profile regional cases in recent years, including the prosecution of Monico Erich Gastelo, 44, of Fresno, who was convicted of sexual exploitation of a child and receipt and distribution of child pornography and sentenced to 40 years in prison followed by 15 years of supervised release; forensic review in that case recovered more than 1,500 images and videos. Separate HSI-led cases resulted in 10-year and 6.5-year federal sentences for Imad Ibrahim Abousalem, 54, of Fresno, and Stanley Neil Martin, 53, of Clovis, after investigators documented dozens to hundreds of illicit images and videos on their devices.

At this stage prosecutors have not provided arraignment dates or filed charging documents beyond the felony allegations reported by investigators. Authorities say forensic analysis of Dominguez’s seized electronic devices will continue as the active investigation proceeds under case number #2602020274.
