Fresno Woman Arrested After Stabbing Partner During Domestic Disturbance

A man was stabbed in the arm and rushed to the hospital Monday evening after a domestic dispute with his partner at a central Fresno home, while the woman was arrested as officers taped off the block.

Fresno police responded to a residence near Lamona Avenue and Fresno Street at about 7:15 p.m. after reports of a domestic disturbance. Arriving officers found the victim suffering from a stab wound to his arm. He was transported to a local hospital and is expected to recover, Fresno Police Lt. Zeb Price said.

The woman, the man's partner, was taken into custody at the scene. Officers cordoned off the surrounding area as detectives worked to piece together what escalated the dispute into violence.

As of Monday night, Fresno Police had not released the names or ages of either party, and no formal charges had been publicly announced. Lt. Price said the circumstances leading up to the stabbing remained under investigation.
