Holi Festival of Colors Returns to Fresno County With Food, Family Fun
Clovis Community College hosted its annual Holi Festival of Colors on March 5, drawing families and students outdoors in front of the campus bookstore for food, music and dance.

Clovis Community College brought the Hindu festival of colors to its campus on March 5, gathering families, students and area residents outdoors in front of the bookstore at 10309 N. Willow in Fresno for its annual celebration of Holi.
The college's "Holi Festival 2026" listing invited the public with a straightforward promise: "You are invited to our annual Holi party. Enjoy good food, music, and dance!" The event page described it as "a celebration of the Hindu festival of colors. All are welcome."
The campus celebration was part of a broader wave of Holi events that swept across Fresno County this year, organized by local Hindu and South Asian community groups alongside other Fresno-based organizations. Holi, one of the most widely recognized Hindu festivals, is traditionally marked by participants throwing or applying brightly colored powder on one another, transforming public spaces into vivid scenes of communal celebration. Photos from the Clovis College event page captured one participant covered head-to-toe in colorful dye.

Clovis Community College, part of the State Center Community College District, operates a second campus at the Herndon Campus location, 390 W. Fir Ave. in Clovis. Anyone with questions about the campus festival can reach the event contact at maricarmen.figueroa@cloviscollege.edu or call the main campus at (559) 325-5200.
The Fresno area's Holi season has grown into a multi-venue affair, with events drawing not only South Asian community members but also students and residents with no prior connection to the festival, reflecting the broadening reach of cultural celebrations across the county.
