Don Fernando Sanchez, 22; Guadalupe Rocha, 22; and Mya Molina (listed as 20 in some reports and 21 in another) were arrested Feb. 18 and booked into the Fresno County Jail after detectives with the Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium identified them in the vandalism of a marked Fresno Police Department patrol vehicle originally reported Jan. 30. Responding officers on Jan. 30 observed significant damage to the vehicle’s roof and hood, and FPD estimated repairs at $6,000.

The Fresno Police Department posted an account of the incident on its Facebook page, saying in part: “On Friday, January 30, 2026, the Fresno Police Department received a call of a Fresno Police marked vehicle being vandalized. Responding officers noticed significant vehicle damage had been done to the roof and hood of the police patrol vehicle. The damage to the vehicle was estimated at $6,000.00 in repair costs. Detectives with the Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium led the investigation. Through the detective’s follow-up investigation three suspects were identifie[d] …”

All three suspects were booked on felony vandalism charges, and multiple local outlets, GVWire, Goldrushcam and the Fresno Bee, reported the bookings included gang enhancements. KMPH’s coverage confirmed the arrests and the $6,000 damage estimate but listed Molina’s age as 21, a discrepancy with other reports that list her as 20; booking records or an FPD confirmation would reconcile that detail.

MAGEC detectives conducted the follow-up work from the Jan. 30 report through the Feb. 18 arrests, according to the department release-style accounts circulated by local outlets. Arrest photos and vehicle images credited to the Fresno Police Department accompanied the notices; Goldrushcam’s item was published Feb. 20 and cited FPD as the source for photos and facts.

Public reaction appeared on the department’s Facebook post, where commenters raised questions and offered support. Rosemary Masters asked, “my question is where was the vehicle parked? At a call, on the street near a call? Why was the officer driver not around?” while Mary Finkiewicz Martin wrote, “Glad you got them. Stay safe out there.” Another commenter, Sebastian Gc, weighed in on repair costs, estimating a new hood and installation would run $1,500 to $2,000.

Detectives are asking anyone with information or video of the Jan. 30 incident to contact MAGEC Detective Nicolas Romero at 559-313-3668. The arrests and bookings took place Feb. 18; prosecutors’ filings and any formal charging decisions or confirmation of gang-enhancement filings were not detailed in the department’s post and remain matters for the District Attorney’s office and booking records to clarify. Detectives continue to seek evidence and witness tips as the case moves through the local criminal process.
